A private villa, seeking to provide a home away from home for visitors to Gocek and the surrounding area, as an alternative to local hotels.
The accommodation:
Comfortable, spacious double bedroom with private bath/shower room, all on the second floor. The bedroom has a balcony with beautiful mountain views. Air conditioning is available in the room, as well as an electric fan if preferred. There is wi-fi available throughout the property. Full breakfast provided to include the best of local seasonal products available. There is a private outdoor swimming pool with covered terrace on the premises at your disposal.
The area:
The villa is ideally situated a 10 minute walk from the center of Gocek and the beautiful Gocek harbor with its four marinas. There are 12 islands off Gocek serviced by a variety of tourist boats during the season, the most popular being the traditional Turkish wooden built gulets.
In the village of Gocek there are several good sized food shops including Migros, Tansas, Carrefour and Kipa, as well as many smaller independent markets where one can purchase most things. It is a very lively village during the tourist season from April to September, with an international clientele of yacht owners coming and going. There are many cafes and restaurants along the waterfront catering to every taste, from Italian to Japanese. In addition, you will find shops selling all sorts, and a local market every Sunday when local produce is sold along with various household items and clothes.
Gocek is a 20 minute drive from the new Dalaman International Airport, where both rental cars and taxis are available. The local taxi service is 80 YTL, or approximately £28 each way. Once you’ve arrived in Gocek, car hire is not necessary as all the amenities in the village are within walking distance, and for getting further afield there is very good local mini bus service every half an hour throughout the day. However, if you do decide to rent a car parking at the villa is available.
The owner can provide advice on popular places of interest to see, including Pamukkale, Ephesus, Tlos, Saklikent, Kas, Kalkan, Dalyan, Marmaris and Bodrum, many of which can be made by local dolmus (mini-bus) within a day.
£30 for one single person, or £50 a night for a couple.
No pets and no children allowed, and no smoking indoors.
